Death March by Phil Tucker
Barfo was my favorite side character in Death March, and his love of making soup and his happiness at the enjoyment of others really struck a chord for me. At one point during the novel Barfo makes a bat head soup that Chris finds to be surprisingly delicious – I loved the idea of taking a crack at this, making something that looks a bit gross but is actually tasty is always fun, and with Halloween on the way this seemed like the right call. Mint chocolate fans, this one’s for you. 🙂
You will need:
- Cocktail Shaker
- Martini Glass
- Cocktail Stick
- Milk Chocolate Truffle (to represent the bat head)
- 1 oz Creme de Menthe (Non-Alcoholic Substitute: 1 oz Green Mint Syrup)
- 2 oz Creme de Cacao (Non-Alcoholic Substitute: 1 oz Chocolate Sauce)
- 2 oz Half & Half
Fill your cocktail shaker with ice. Add Creme de Menthe, Creme de Cacao and Half & Half. Shake vigorously and measure into your martini glass.
Spear the chocolate truffle on your cocktail stick and add as garnish.
Enjoy your +1 to Intoxication!
