The Reasoning
Bitter, tart, and very potent, Riv’s explosive temper lands her in trouble several times throughout the course of the novel. Here I’ve combined citrus flavors with campari and bourbon to create a drink that packs almost as big a punch as Riv herself. 🙂
The Cocktail
You will need:
- Tumbler
- Ice
- Paring/Channeling Knife
- 1 Orange
- Lemon Juice
- 1 oz Bourbon
- 1 oz Campari
- 1 oz Sweet (Rossi) Vermouth
- 1 oz Triple Sec
Fill a tumbler with ice. Take your channeling/paring knife, cut a twist of orange peel, and add to the glass as garnish. Cut a wedge of orange and squeeze approx 1 tbsp juice into the tumbler, followed by 1 tbsp lemon juice, and then the bourbon, campari, triple sec and vermouth. Stir and serve.
