If you are looking for a short SciFi read in a world with an interesting setting and even more interesting people, this novella is for you! I was really impressed with how Wait was able to pull the reader into the story in just a short amount of time. I will say, there were parts I had to reread to understand exactly what was going on in this complex world, but it was worth it.
This story follows a space detective who wakes up in the wrong body. The reader untangles the web of lies and deceit with our main character as she uncovers the clues on board the giant spaceship.
This book left me wanting more. I’m hoping Waite does a series of short novellas on this ship, in ‘Murderbot’ fashion. I’d love for her to explore the consequences of the ‘memory library’ and the consequences of extended longevity on society.
