“I decided to publish this novel first as a serial on my Patreon because honestly, we all need treats to brighten up our weeks in this year of ongoing pandemic and more. So, new chapters have been winging their way into patron inboxes every Saturday since late January (we’re up through Chapter 10 now!), and every single time, I’m aiming for comfort, fun, and delight at the end of a long week.
The full book will come out in October, though, and from the moment I decided to launch this project, I knew exactly who I wanted to approach for its cover. Ravven designed the covers for two of my earlier novellas (in my Harwood Spellbook series), Spellswept and Moontangled, and I love her work. So I asked her for a new style of fun, frothy Regency fantasy for my new series (Regency Dragons)…and oh, wow, did she deliver!
I love seeing Elinor with Sir Jessamyn, the dangerously delightful pet dragon on her shoulder. I hope you’ll enjoy meeting them both!

Stephanie Burgis grew up in East Lansing, Michigan, but now lives in Wales with her husband and two sons, surrounded by mountains, castles and coffee shops. She writes wildly romantic adult historical fantasies, most recently the Harwood Spellbook series.
